                                                                                                                        Shortbread

                                                                                                                        Ingredients:

                                                                                                                        150 g of butter
                                                                                                                        4 tablespoons granulated sweetener
                                                                                                                        200 g plain flour

                                                                                                                        Method:
                                                                                                                        1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
                                                                                                                        2. Place butter into a large bowl and mix with granulated sweetener.
                                                                                                                        3. Beat until light and fluffy, slowly stirring in plain flour until it almost becomes like a pastry dough.
                                                                                                                        4. Just a clean surface with a little flour and roll out pastry to about 2 cm thick.
                                                                                                                        5. Slice into fingers, then place on a greased baking sheet and put into the fridge for about half an hour.
                                                                                                                        6. Remove from fridge and place on center shelf of oven, bake until they begin to turn golden brown, usually about 20 minutes.
                                                                                                                        7. Leave to cool completely and enjoy.
