Shortcrust Pastry
Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder
or
1/2 cup plain flour and 1/2 cup self-raising flour
1/4 tsp salt
60g butter or margarine
2 Tbsp water
Method:

Method:
- Sift Dry ingredients together
- Rub in butter until mixture looks like bread crumbs. Ensure you lift it well out of the bowl in the process to aerate
- Add water gradually,making a very dry dough. DO NOT add all the water unless necessary
- Turn onto a cool floured board
- Roll into desired shape and size
